Meet the Team
The Radon Awareness Project (RAP) was started in 2010 by then 11-year old Eric Bear and his sister, 13-year old Christina Bear. The siblings goal of the RAP is to stress the importance of testing and reduce indoor radon. They were inspired when they participated in a poster contest and realized after a neighborhood survey they conducted that many people do not test for radon. When not in school, they have been scientists, reporters, graphic artists, rap artists and political advocates taking their radon awareness message across Jefferson County and to the steps of the State Capitol.
